Task Force South - The Royal Navy and the Falklands War’ commemorates the 25th Anniversary of the Falklands War and the Navy’s central role in the operation of the 8,000 mile Task Force.

It was formally opened on 23rd April 2007 by Admiral Sir Jonathan Band, KCB, ADC, First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff at the Royal Naval Museum, Portsmouth.

Designmap were appointed by the Royal Naval Museum following a 5 way creative pitch for this design and build contract.

The exhibition addressed the needs of a wide ranging audience. In addition to families, school groups and those interested in military history, Naval personnel, war veterans and the families of those who died or were injured during the war were considered.

The exhibition included object display (military hardware, models and personal items), graphics, physical interactives, audio visual elements and aural history Interactives - which were all handled in house at Designmap.
