Task Force South - Exhibition

'Task Force South - The Royal Navy and the Falklands War' commemorates the 25th Anniversary of the Falklands War and the Navy's central role in the operation of the 8,000 mile Task Force. It was formally opened on 23rd April 2007 by Admiral Sir Jonathan Band, KCB, ADC, First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff at the Royal Naval Museum, Portsmouth.

We were appointed by the Royal Naval Museum following a 5 way creative pitch for this design and build contract.

The exhibition included object display (both military hardware and personal items), graphics, physical interactives, audio visual elements and aural history Interactives - which were all handled in house at Designmap.

Matthew Sheldon, Head of Curatorial Department, at the Royal Naval Museum said:

"It has been a pleasure to work with Designmap on the 'Task Force South' exhibition. We appointed them after lengthy competitive interviews and I feel their design team and the Museum's exhibition team forged a genuinely creative partnership. Managing a tight budget they helped us transform a tired gallery space and install an exhibition which is rich in content and communicates in many different ways. I would heartily recommend their project management and creative design skills."
